Plan a batch around the approved drawing

For a batch quotation, send the component drawing and revision, material grade, order quantity and required delivery date. If you expect to reorder the part, include likely quantities and frequency so we can understand the wider requirement.

We review tooling, workholding, machining operations and inspection needs for the component. The quotation and lead time are based on that specification and the capacity available when the order is agreed.

Small batches and repeat requirements

Batch milling suits components that share an approved specification, whether they are required for an initial production run or an ongoing assembly. We welcome enquiries for milled brackets, housings, plates, fixtures and similar drawing-led parts.

Agree quality requirements at the start

Identify the critical dimensions, fits, thread specifications and surface finishes with your enquiry. Let us know whether you need a first-off approval stage, material traceability or an inspection report so those requirements can be reviewed and included in the quotation.

Our approach includes in-process checks and dimensional inspection. The inspection plan and any reporting requirements are agreed for the individual order.

Overflow capacity and delivery planning

If you are seeking additional machining capacity, explain the quantity, material status and delivery deadline. Tell us whether you will provide stock or need material included in the quotation. We will review the requirement before confirming what can be scheduled.

For repeat orders, use the current approved drawing revision and highlight any changes since the previous batch. Changes to the material, quantity, tolerances or finish may affect the machining approach, price and lead time.

Start with a prototype when the design is still changing
